ReplyDeleteLucas, for the media component after the essay, you're going to look at the end of your literature circle book and draw a comic book style of an alternate ending, like an ending trailer. Kind of the ones you see on a movie trailer. But your trailer isn't about the book, rather the ending. And only the ending. Lucas, there should be at least two pages in a comic book style that must be submitted in. Hand drawn, try your best. I'm still working on the rubric but try to start and keep me posted so I can guide you a long.

DeleteThere are lots of examples online. Please research. I will try to find one but you should be doing your own research kiddo. Just pick three sentences that make up the main idea and begin. Just make sure the main idea is connected in someway.

DeleteIsabelle: I've been thinking. Forget about the thesis. Come up with 3 topic sentences and state your point of view. Give evidence from the book to defend/back up your point of view. After you quote the evidence from the book place brackets and then the number of the page. For example. "blah blah blah." (Pg. 45)
DeleteAnd continue doing that. Be careful not to quote too much. Your point of view is what's important to me. It's hard to evaluate anything with too many quotes because it takes away from what the writer is actually writing about.
Try this--this should work for you. If it doesn't please let me know.

I'm very confused because I don't know if I should follow your example, the one on Kibin, or a better version of the Twilight thesis. They are all different to me as well. I have gotten started though. I followed your example before the winter break, but now that the other 2 examples have come up, I'm confused.
Don't worry about the thesis. Come up with 3 topic sentences and write about that. Obviously you have an opinion. Use your opinion and cite (quote examples for the book) your examples, that just means your proving what you're writing about. Forget about the thesis! Just focus on those 3 paragraphs. Nothing else, right now. Sorry I'm late getting back to you--busy day.
